Very cool atmosphere and nice terrace outside, just a shame the view is blocked by the cruise terminal. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The wood fired garlic bread and wood fired pizzas are amazing. So fresh and flavourful. Cocktails are also good and well-made. However, I would not recommend the Ceasar salad at all. Basically a heap of salad leaves with a few bits of bacon and croutons hidden away under a forest of leaves and dressing. Definitely not money's worth. Other than that, though, no complaints whatsoever. Can confidently recommend Bar Mille for a casual lunch or night out.
Stumbled across this little gem of a place while doing a scavenger hunt with the kids, and learning the heritage of the building,Kids were starving and I needed a cold beer after walking around the rocks all morning. The food was delicious and good sized portions. My daughter isnt a fan of rustic pizzas but smashed it down without a whimper. The beer was ice cold and a decent selection. Wasnt very busy considering its across from the overseas passenger terminal. Prices were great and the kids were impressed. Recommend if needing a good priced feed and a cold bèer.
What a find! Just off George street overlooking the cruise terminal. One of the original churches in Sydney converted into an Italian restaurant and pub. Still has that church like feel with stone walls, wood floors, and large open spaces. Has some of the original windows. Incredible, I’m almost afraid to touch. Has some definite upgrades too like large screen tv’s and outdoor patio seating.
Happy hour everyday with $5 dollar house wine, beer, and spirits.
Weekends you can enjoy the venue “Clockwork”. Bustling crowds, excitement, and mingling till the wee hours of 3am.
Excellent Italian dining downstairs with incredible wood fire pizza’s and Italian dishes made fresh. I watched while they put together an incredible gnocchi dish that left me speechless.
It was raining when I visited with a cruise ship docked in port. Otherwise offers excellent ocean views and a lot of diversity with quiet rooms for conversation, private venues, or the main pub and restaurant areas.
A must visit on your time in Sydney. Def five stars.
We came here on a late Thursday afternoon and had some pizza and wine. It was quite tasty and the staff were nice too. The booths are very comfy.
Awesome bar for parties, great location, beautiful view from location, almost every alcoholic drinks available, clean toilets, lift too, well organised security, easy parking after 9 pm, heaps of food options around, pent floor bar.
Great bar in the old laugh-worthy institute for seamen. Good beers and cocktails. Pizzas are also worth trying as well while in town!
Nice location
If seated inside you get table service
If you sit in the balcony you don't
Odd huh
Drinks were tasty
Food was okay, but a bit over priced for what you're actually getting.
Also to the owner having ipads on the tables for self ordering food would produce a better result than having the customer get up and go to the bar to wait in line to order and pay and then go back and sit down.
It would be more stream lined letting the staff focus on waiting and making drinks and food.
Also fixed table numbers so they're not waking in and out with hot food which is getting cooler by the second looking for the moving table number.
Had meal on Anzac Day with friends. Unfortunately not a good experience mainly because of the poor quality of the food.
Beef burgers seemed to have mushy frozen like texture and gamey flavour. The haloumi was grilled so much that resembled piece of rubber full of charcoal and no dressing/sauce or any flavour to it. The salad was the worst... Candied walnuts, beetroot and quinoa sounds delicious but what we received was bad. Zero greens, the white sauce was extremely salty and beetroot from the can among side orange not cut up just slapped on the plate (took photos of it). The salad was inedible but we couldn't let any staff know because they didn't clear the plates for about an hour or more. The 2 stars are for nice beers and cocktails and friendly bar staff. Good location but food is very disappointing.
